Nollywood actress, Dayo Amusa recently got on the wrong side of many social media users following her response to an aspiring actress seeking professional assistance in becoming successful.

Amusa who has a following of 1.9 million on Instagram, shared a post on her page. A fan identified on the platform as @d_portable123, commented on her page asking for a helping hand as she also wishes to be a successful actress.

Amusa responded, saying: “Who will waste his/her time to help you when you have not helped yourself? You have access to the internet, you have an IG page, no skit, nothing to showcase your so called talent & u dey fine help. You a joker.”

Her comment didn’t sit well with a lot of social media users as they tagged it insensitive and unfair to the lady who simply wanted help.

It didn’t take long before she started getting bashed by internet users. Shortly after, Amusa released a video in which she explained herself.

The Yoruba actress who apologized to the lady, explained that she didn’t mean to make the lady feel small or upset.

Dayo Amusa, however, backed up her earlier statement. The Nollywood actress said her intention was not to belittle the upcoming actress, but she insisted that the lady is a “joker” for not using her Instagram account to display her talent.

Well, it appears social media users were not satisfied with her video as they believed she did more of justifying her harsh comment than apologizing for it.

This made them even more angry and had her comment section spammed with insults and criticisms.

Reacting to his, Amusa shared a video of her meal, stating that she has since lost appetite due to the numerous insults she’s been receiving. She pleaded with people to stop.

She wrote: “Edakun now I wan break fast since sef I no fit I no get appetite again with all this yabbing comments ‍♀️ Se fe pami ni? Ejo now! Oya ejo EMABINU! Moti weak bayii ooo “
